Keystone Kids’ Activities
Mountain View Sports offers a special ‘Ride the Pass’ trip during the summer. All ages can rent bikes, take the provided shuttle to the top of Vail Pass, and coast downhill on a separate paved bike path through Copper Mountain and Frisco to Lake Dillon. The path then trails around the lake, connecting with the Keystone Trail along the Snake River, which eventually puts you right back at Mountain View Sports. Call (800) 530-3836 or Get Directions.
Seymour Lodging guests are eligible for a 10% discount for the ‘Ride the Pass’ or full-day bike rentals with Mountain View Sports.
Kids love the Adventure Center by Keystone Lake at the Lodge. Rent a paddle boat, canoe, or kayak and explore the 5-acre lake; then take 20 minutes for fish feeding (a favorite among small children). Bike rentals and a wonderful playground are also close by. And if you catch a brief summer shower, you can just go inside to enjoy the arcade or get a snack at any of the half dozen restaurants near the lake. Call (800) 354-4386 or Get Directions.
Reservations for this activity are accepted at Keystone Adventure Center. Groups meet at Keystone Lake and explore beaver ponds in the area to watch these amazing mammals at work and learn how they designed our mountain valleys. Available Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m. Call(800) 354-4386.
Wall attendants hook kids up with a sophisticated belay safety system and turn them loose to try to find a route to the top. Open daily at Keystone Resort in River Run Village. Call (800) 354-4386.
